AFS Conference 2008 Graz

Welcome to the AFS Conference 2008 Website!

Last years this event was known as "deutschsprachiger AFS-Workshop", but this year it's gonna be a little bit bigger!

Introduction:
Last year at the "deutschsprachiger AFS-Workshop" we decided to bring this event for the first time to Graz (Austria). In spring the American AFS Foundation was talking to Lars Schimmer, telling him that they also want to arrange a meeting of the European AFS administrators and developers. So they asked if we could join these two events.

State of affairs:
The "European OpenAFS Conference 2008" will take place from Sep. the 24th to Sep. the 26th. at the SPSC Institute at Graz University of Technology in Graz in collaboration with the CGV Institute. The registration fee will be € 210,00 and will contain a T-shirt, two lunches, one dinner at a "Heurigen", coffe & cake and some benefit for the lecturer. If you register till the 1st of September you can deduct € 50,00 for early booking discount.
We have looked for a couple of hotels near our University where you can stay for these three days. At some of them you will get a discount if you tell them that you are joining our event. You get more about this under the link "Infrastructure"
